Obviously we hope that you do not have an accident but if you do we want to make sure you receive the best possible care and attention.  To do so, you must call the Mexican Insurance company's "1-800".  Each company's "1-800" is listed below.

In the event of an accident, be sure to call the insurer as soon as possible. 

Contrary to everything you have learned about accidents in the US and Canada, it is generally best if you leave the scene of an accident immediately and hide your vehicle.  Then call the insurer.  They will dispatch an adjuster who will deal with the appropriate authorities.  If needed they will also contact a lawyer to assist you with you with any legal proceedings.

If you are unfortunate enough to be taken into custody by the local police insist on calling the insurer immediately for their assistance, use your mobile (cell) phone if required! 

You MUST make your claim before you leave Mexico.

Based on customer feedback, GNP's claims services are the best available for Mexican Tourist Auto Insurance market.  This is mainly due to two reasons:

GNP is a very progressive company who are preoccupied with customer service and satisfaction.    

GNP is the largest auto insurer in Mexico, so they have the most people "on the group" to help you in the event of an accident.
